A two bedroomed gite for 4-6 people, with an 10m x 5m swimming pool, in the Dordogne/Charente border area in the heart of the Perigord Limousin Parc Naturel.
Le Moulin de la Plaine
In an idyllic setting, nestling in a river valley in 15 hectares of meadows and woodland, the group of buildings at La Plaine, c. 17th century, were built as a mill, foundry and forge. The old mill building and millrace are still intact, as is the barn where charcoal was stored and horses were stabled. The forge owner's and manager's houses have been converted into one home. Adjoining this, to the right of the main house in the picture above, is a smaller building which has now been tastefully converted, using traditional materials, into a comfortable holiday home.
La Plaine is totally secluded and and not overlooked. The gite has its own garden area, overlooking the pool, lake and woodland.
There is a 10m x 5m swimming pool, fully alarmed and with a deep end for diving, which gite guests share with the owners.
A two - bedroomed gite sleeping 6 people. One large room (55 sq m) on the ground floor, with stone walls, exposed beams and an oak staircase, with sitting, dining and kitchen areas. Two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, also with exposed beams and stone walls. Your own garden area, and use of the pool.

Weekly rates, Terms and Conditions.
Our weekly rental charges for 2006, running Saturday to Saturday, are shown below in EURO. Rates for Christmas and New Year are by negotiation if the gite is free.

Please contact us for payment terms. We will discuss payment of a deposit and the balance can be paid in euros on arrival. We also ask for a 100 euro deposit for breakages etc, also payable on arrival.
Linen, towels and two bathrobes are included, but please bring your own towels for swimming, sunbathing etc.
Cleaning materials, tea towels, bin bags and recycling bags, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board etc are all included. Please let us know if you have any special requests for anything else.
We will also provide a welcome pack with basics for your first morning's breakfast, some fruit and a bottle of wine. Tea, coffee, sugar etc are always available in the gite.
